Del.icio.us, what a fabulous idea. This has such a huge potential to help customers in finding information from home that is available via the web. Furthermore, no longer do we each need to reinvent the wheel looking for the same information. This will be especially helpful for some of the more obscure information we aren't frequently accessing and also has the potential to make those busy information desk shifts more manageable. I especially think it will be helpful for part-time and casual staff who don't have the same access to the informal communication channels within the organisation. Although we do use favourites within our browser to provide easy access to websites, Del.icio.us provides a more flexible and dynamic, less time-consuming method which can be accessible across our branch libraries as well.

I think this could also be helpful in providing easy access to professional development sources across and within teams. This could be a good orientation tool for new staff, particularly those who are newer to the profession.
